This amazing tour has us visiting Pigeon Forge at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, Sandy Hook, the home of the late great Keith Whitley, Lexington and Louisville in Kentucky and finishing up in Nashville Tennessee.
Tuesday 07th May – We depart from London Heathrow and fly via Charlotte to Knoxville Airport.
On arrival we will be met by private coach and taken to our accommodation in Pigeon Forge for three nights La Quinta Inn or similar on bed and breakfast basis. Evening Free Overnight Pigeon Forge
Wednesday 08th May – This morning we have a half day tour to the Smoky Mountains with afternoon free to enjoy Pigeon Forge. This evening we have tickets to the award winning Country Tonite show at the Country Tonite Theatre with the best of country music. Overnight Pigeon Forge
Thursday 09th – You may take the option to spend the day at Dollywood or go shopping at one of several outlet malls or enjoy one of the many attractions in Pigeon forge. Or you might enjoy a two hour optional Conway Twitty Tribute concert at the Main Event theatre. Overnight Pigeon Forge
Friday 10th May – This morning we depart Pigeon Forge and head across the state line into Kentucky.
Our first stop is in Sandy Hook where we will meet with Dwight Whitley, brother of the late, great Keith Whitley. He will perform some of Keith’s greatest hits for us. Then it is on to Lexington. It’s known for horse farms and thoroughbred racetracks like Keeneland. We will visit the Kentucky Horse Park which features the International Museum of the Horse and the Hall of Champions.
Overnight in the lovely Hyatt Place Hotel in Lexington. This evening we have the opportunity to visit the Austin City Saloon where great Country Music is always on the menu. Overnight Lexington
Saturday 11th May – This morning we leave Lexington and head to Louisville, Kentucky. This afternoon we visit Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby. Even if you are not a fan of horse racing this is a truly amazing place to visit.
The evening is free to enjoy downtown Louisville or perhaps take a cruise on the Belle of Louisville on the Ohio River. Overnight Louisville
Sunday 12th May –. Morning Free this afternoon we visit the amazing Muhammad Ali Museum.
The Muhammad Ali Centre is a multicultural centre with an award-winning museum dedicated to the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali. The Centre's museum captures the inspiration derived from the story of Muhammad Ali’s incredible life and the six core principles that have fuelled his journey.
Evening free to enjoy downtown Louisville Overnight Louisville
Monday 13th May – This morning we visit the Evan Williams Bourbon experience and distillery tour before departing from Louisville and crossing the state line into Tennessee, the home of Country Music. Once we have checked into our hotel we have the afternoon free to enjoy the many bars and the music of Broadway. Overnight Nashville
Tuesday 14th May – This morning we have a half day sight-seeing tour of Nashville to take in the many sights of the city. This afternoon we visit Studio B where the ghosts of the greats still sing in the iconic recording studio. This evening we have tickets to the Grand Ole Opry. Overnight Nashville
Wednesday 15th May – Today we have left totally free. This morning you may decide to take the optional excursion to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman Auditorium. Alternatively, the coach will be available to take an optional excursion to Memphis to visit Graceland, the home of the late great Elvis Presley. Overnight Nashville
Thursday 16th May – All good things must come to an end and today we check out of our hotel. Our coach will be waiting to take us to Nashville airport for our flight home.
