Join Lisa as she takes you on an unforgettable journey through part of the Old West, starting in Oklahoma City, before travelling on to Fort Smith, the home of the infamous, Hanging Judge, then on to Little Rock Arkansas, Dyess, Arkansas, the boyhood home of the late Johnny Cash and finally into Tennessee where we will visit both Memphis and Nashville.
This is truly the holiday of a lifetime, in the company of one of the music industry’s loveliest ladies.
Mon, May 18 – We fly from Dublin to Oklahama City. On arrival we will be met by our coach driver who will take us to our first hotel for the night. Transfer to the Residence Inn Bricktown. Overnight Oklahoma City.
Tue, May 19 – This morning the group will have a brief city tour followed by a tour of National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. One of their docents is past world champion fast draw cowboy who will give the group a fast draw demonstration. Afternoon depart for Ft Smith, Arkansas. En route stop in Tahlequah and tour the Cherokee Heritage Center. Arrive Ft Smith and check-in the Hampton Inn. Overnight Ft Smith.
Wed, May 20 – A local tour guide will be with the group today and first stop will be at Miss Laura’s Visitor Center; followed by a city tour with a stop at the Bass Reeves Monument. The group will also tour the Fort Smith National Historic Site and visit the Elvis Barbershop Museum. Overnight Ft Smith.
Thu, May 21 – Depart for Memphis. En route stop in Little Rock and tour the Clinton Presidential Library. Before arriving Memphis the group will stop in Dyess and tour Johnny Cash’ boyhood home, the Administration Building Museum and then have dinner at the gym with a local bank playing Johnny Cash songs. Arrive Memphis & check-in the Comfort Inn Downtown. Overnight Memphis.
Fri, May 22 – Today the group will visit Graceland, Sun Studio and the Rock n Soul Museum. Overnight Memphis.
Sat, May 23 – Depart for Tuscumbia, Alabama. En route stop in Tupelo and tour Elvis’ Birthplace, Museum, Chapel & Church. Arrive Muscle Shoals and tour the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, where one of the original “Swampers” will meet with the group. Check-in the Coldwater Inn. Overnight Tuscumbia.
Sun, May 24 – Depart for Nashville. En route stop at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery and enjoy a tasting tour. Arrive Nashville and check-in the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt. Overnight Nashville.
Mon, May 25 – This morning we enjoy a city tour followed by an afternoon visit Country Music Hall of Fame and the iconic Studio B. Overnight Nashville.
Tue, May 26 – This morning we visit the original home of the Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium and have a free day downtown or shopping at Opry Mills. Tonight attend a performance of the Grand Ole Opry. Overnight Nashville.
Wed, May 27 – Having seen it all and done it all, this fantastic tour comes to an end and it is time to head for home. Our coach will transfer us to the airport for flight home.
