Cuba

Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean and it is situated 90 miles south of Florida.  It is a fascinating island that is rapidly growing in popularity due to its great mix of cultural heritage as well as some of the finest beaches with miles of soft white sand and clear warm waters.  Add to this the warm and friendly multi racial people, the Cuban passion for music and dance, famous rum cocktails and balmy tropical nights and you have all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday.
We would recommend you spend at least three or four nights in Havana. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage City, Havana offers a unique Latin atmosphere and absolutely great nightlife.

Plaza Central, Havana
Stay at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba - this hotel dates back to the 1930's and is the most distinguished hotel in Cuba.  It enjoys an excellent location overlooking Havana harbour and the coastline and it is set amidst landscaped gardens in the city itself within easy reach of the major areas of interest.  The hotel offers two swimming pools, fitness centre, sauna, a choice of restaurants and bars, nightclub, cabaret, shops, business centre, gift shop and many more facilities.

While in Havana, play Havana Golf Club - this is a lovely 9 hole course only 10 minutes from the city centre.  It is often referred to as the "Diplo Club" and this is where all the movie stars played golf in the 1930s and 1940s.  The course does offer 18 tees, meaning of course you can still play a full game.  For non golfers, the club also offers five tennis courts, a bowling green and a fine restaurant.
After a few days in Havana, 2 hour road transfer to the most well known and best established seaside resort on the island, Varadero.

Varadero
This resort is mainly famous for its fine hotels and absolutely stunning Caribbean beaches.  We recommend you stay at either the Melia Hotel or the Iberostar Varadero.

While in Varadero play the lovely Varadero Golf Club, the leading golf club on the island.  The course was opened in 1998 and offers luxurious surroundings and an entertaining round of golf for both beginners and experts.  Some of the holes have been built right over the Caribbean and the views are just memorable.
If you then have a couple of extra days, we would highly recommend you travel to the enchanting colonial era city of Trinidad and spend at least a night there to explore its charming corners, which have been declared protected heritage by UNESCO
