Canada is a vast country  stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific for almost 7000 kilometres - it offers a myriad of different landscapes from rugged coastal views in New Founderland and Nova Scotia in the East and in British Columbia in the West, to stunning skylines in modern and vibrant cities like Toronto and Vancouver, to quaint European looking towns in Quebec, to breathtaking mountain views in the Rockies and sweeping prairies in the centre states.  Canada offers something for everybody and for golfers the choices are many and all of the highest quality.  Please find below a short description of our recommended golfing destinations.

TORONTO AND DEERHURST, Ontario

Spend a few days in this vibrant city on the shores of Lake Ontario.  This is a friendly and safe city where you will be able to enjoy parks, gardens, museums, colourful neighbourhoods, great shopping, fine dining, a fantastic theatre scene and really great golf.

While in Toronto you cannot miss out on a shop until you drop day at Eaton Centre and a visit to the CN Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world and a symbol of the city.

 You are also only a short trip away from the famous Niagara Falls, which is obviously a must do day trip where you will be able to admire this absolute marvel of nature on board the Maid of the Mist riverboat, which will take you right to the foot of the falls.

After a few days in Toronto, take the 2-3 hour drive north ofToronto to Muskoga and stay at the beatiful Deerhurst Resort offering stunning woodland landscapes and play golf on the Highlands and the Mark O'Meara Course in resort

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

 

 

If all you are looking for is excellent golf, beautiful scenery and a laid back way of life, Prince Edward Island is for you.  This is a large island cradled on the waves of the Gulf of St Lawrence - Canada's smallest and greenest province -  famous for its gently rolling landscape surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and red sandstone cliffs.

Play golf at a few of the many excellent courses such as Anderso Creek, Brudenell River, Dundarave, FoxMeadow, Glasgow Hills, the Links at Crowbush Cove, Mill River or the Eagle Glenn and enjoy the warm hospitality, excellent food and unspoilt beaches

 

 MONT TREMBLANT, QUEBEC

Again if you are looking to spend a few days outside the bigger cities and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful surroundings of the Laurentian mountains, about an hour and a half north of Montreal you will find the charming Mont Tremblant National Park with the extremely pretty village of the same name, which combines European ambience with Quebec hospitality.  Mont Tremblant village, nestled on the shore of Lac Mercier, is famous for world class sporting, cultural events, fine dining and great nightlife in both the winter and the summer.

 

 

 

Stay at the beautiful Les Suites Tremblant, play golf on Le Diable and Le Geant and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this charming place.

VANCOUVER AND VANCOUVER ISLAND, British Columbia

Vancouver is the largest Canadian city on the west coast and enjoys a stunning setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean with moutain backdrops, vibrant night life, great shopping and fine dining.  Vancouver is a city which will satisfy all tastes - take a stroll down Robson Street and shop to your heart's content, lie back in Stanley Park and watch the world go by or take a ferry across to Vancouver Island to and enjoy the whalewatching on the way there.

 

 

 

Play golf at Fraserview, McCleery Golf Course, Morgan Creek or Northview Golf and Country Club in Vancouver or spend a couple of nights on Vancouver Island, visit the memorable Butchart Gardens and play golf on Victoria Golf Course

BANFF AND WHISTLER, British Columbia

From Vancouver, you can head for a few days to either or both of these two charming villages - famous for winter sports, they are also a very popular summer destination and both offer great shops, lovely hotels, breathtaking views of the Rockies and some excellent golf courses.  Extend your stay in Canada and spend a few days in Banff and Whistler and you will not be disappointed.
